New paddle
« on: December 26, 2020, 05:51:57 AM »
Merry Xmas to me. Bit of a mix but first try today and I like it. Quickblade UV 82 and a Gong carbon shaft(100 euros cheaper and the same weight). Dont know how the flex compares.
When I first saw the blade I thought it looked small. Its not though. The catch is what I really noticed. It slips into the water and just holds so well. Releases easy too and I think this will help too increase cadence.

Congrats! It's a great blade. Glad you found a decent shaft for it and get to use it before the Spring. Will be good to hear how the shaft feels after few long paddles. Enjoy.

Love it. Felt the same at the end of a 10k paddle. Dont know about the flex of the shaft. Some people say its a flexy shaft. It felt pretty stiff to me. Made some awsome noises. Ploops and gurgles when you get the catch wrong. I think I need to shorten the shaft.
