I'm building a new website for Mark Raaphorst
« on: October 25, 2020, 07:01:08 PM »
It's kind of fun, it's been ages since I've done this stuff and the tools have changed dramatically, so it's a great learning experience for me. It's not done, there's still some placeholder copy though I think I got rid of the stuff about Mark needing money for his porn addiction. And you can't actually buy anything since i haven't hooked all that stuff up yet. I suspect you guys might get a kick out of it. And since you are all now beta testers, let me know if it blows up and kills your computer.

Looks really good. You still got the Midas touch Pono.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Yeah, nice work. All the new JS widgets and they worked fine on iOS tablet.

That mold is crazy. Does he mold on the traction?

Very nice. Hope you're getting a board out of the deal. Questions: He mentions using half pound EPS foam with 3 layers carbon. Does half pound EPS even exist? I've heard of 1 lb. and 1.5 lb. EPS, but not 0.5 lb EPS. Do you know what he means by 3 layers of carbon? Does that mean 2 layers on top and one on the bottom, or 3 layers on top and bottom? Thx.

Looks nice Bill. Some interesting content to boot (more of that).

Since we're in beta testing mode...

- I always prefer clean URL's over dynamic (/Contact vs /?page_id=15).
- I'd use CDN while serving local rich media content to help with slow loading times and latency issues ( https://oneflyingdutchman.com/?page_id=516)
- Not sure if that's intentional but the logo looks jagged and funky. Using SVG format will result in a hi-res optimized file with a very small footprint.
in progress...

Yes, same process as the hollow molded downwind SIC boards.

Thanks! I'll do that.

Nice work!  The hollow molded 5'8 sounds fascinating and was probably only a matter of time that he brought over the lessons from SIC to the foil boards.

I tried to contact him about getting a board a few months ago, his website didn't work, and he never responded to my message on IG... Glad to hear he's getting a new website. I like the look of some of his boards.
