Day 6?
« on: September 17, 2020, 09:50:25 PM »
I don't know. There were so many in a row. Still a decent pulse (From Paulette?) and my first return to the metal groin in over a year. Quite a few were on it. Over a year since I'd hit it last. Bit of a bump but nice long period rollers coming in consistent. SOLOSHOT nailed it!

Still swell left here in New Jersey from Hurricane Paulette.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Good for you Marc!  I admire how you get out there in the middle of all the proners, something I do my best to avoid.  SS works great for you it seemed to know where you were in the beginning when you seemed out of sight.  More waves on the way...

@ Cookie

Nice video. Just enough swell waves for a good day of sup surfing.

BTW, I'm curious. I noticed you were using a 4 fin quad setup. Did you like the quad fin setup?

thanx, LBS! Definitely gotta be extra careful out there with the proners. I passed on the big day at the groin. Heard there were like 50 on it. This was a way better day for me to get back down there.

Did you like the quad fin setup?
I always have liked quads, They are fast on the pump and get tighter to the wall and deeper in the bowl than thrusters or 2+1 setups. Turn quicker too...my first quad was WAY back in 1982. A six foot shortboard w/glass-ins. I even have a picture somewhere of me on it!

Paulette swell decent here. NY and RI def had the goods though. Shoulder is still not 100% Haven't even tried a prone board yet. Been reluctant.

Nice Cookie. Great to see you back at it and posting videos. I passed on day 6 but Paulette certainly delivered to the southern part of the dirty Jerz! All eyes on Teddy!!!
Thanx Osprey. Good you scored in the southland. I love the term Dirty Jerz! Doesn't exactly flatter us though! T$DDY!! Should be BIG!
btw- Osprey's are bad ass raptors and this one flew right over my house. Luckily I had my camera in hand and managed to fire off this shot.

Sweet! We've been pulsing out here, too. Many days  in a row. Finally some consistent surf. Glad you're taking advantage of it!

Nice Osprey shot. Just saw my first one for the season the other day. They're here from fall to spring, and a sight to behold when hunting.
