Go Pro and Go Pole Dome, perfect foil combo
« on: September 16, 2020, 09:39:56 AM »
I recently received a dome mount to use with my Go Pro, and I can say the combo works very good with the over/under views that make sense for foil footage.

have you got it strapped to your back while you're surfing?  Are are you swimming out to the lineup with fins

i swim out to the lineup for the surf shots.

the wingfoil footage is a couple miles offshore, so i strap the rig to my back and bring it on the coast run.  stop and sit on board, get shots as they pass.

Really wonderful shots. How does this dome mount take the one lens of the GoPro and allow it to simultaneously provide both underwater and above water. How does it split, increase or spread the view?
5'6 Quatro Wingdrifter Pro 105L; Cabrinha Mantis 3.1m, 4m, 5m and 6m; Axis 1000 (1150, 1020); Project Cedrus 91 cm carbon mast (68 cm fuse, 440/5000 rear); 9'6" CRUZ Surf foil SUP (152L); Chinook Thrust 92 Paddle -- fixed 78" length; 'prone' longboards on the rack, kites in the garage.
