Fishing pole or ski travel case for Duotone?
« on: September 09, 2020, 08:32:44 PM »
Do any of you fellow Zoners ski or fish and travel with your gear?
I am wondering if a fishing pole travel tube Or ski travel tube would work for Duotone wing and boom?
I bought the Unit wing but even without battens or a boom  , the 6 m is almost 4 Ft long in the travel bag.  I also own the original Duotone wing and am looking for the best travel protection for both of these wings .

I’ve seen a number of fishing rod travel tubes and ski tunes online and was thinking they might be the  perfect Travel solution for some wings.

Paddle Bag - Great idea!

I plan to put my Duotone boom in my foil board bag.  I think it should fit.

I am just traveling with the wings as the board and foil are already there.   I might try one of those plastic  tubes designed to transport skis...long enough for the wing and boom I think.

Not duotone specific, but here's my travel plans for my wings.  I may be able to fit my prone in there as well if I fully deflate the wings.

I’m a 5’9” 65kg rider:

Boards:

   4’5” 34L Armstrong FG Wing/Surf

Thanks! I figured with the BRM pricing structure, may as well get them all and maybe sell the ones I feel I can do without. Might be able to get by with out the 6M at my weight.

The bag can barely fit Dwights 5’1” wing board, so that would fit the boom, right? It’s a quality bag with wheels.

Where is it tight, length or width?

This is really good news to have a golf bag that fits wing boards.
