Hurricane Paulette....
« on: September 14, 2020, 12:01:39 PM »
...is delivering! Three sessions in now and heading to Rhode Island for some mo! Paddle Surf Hawaii's are tackling the work nicely!

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

lol..thanx, Matt! Don't be jealous of my groin/hamstring pain afterwards...I call those wide legged stances "The Laird"! REALLY gotta widen stance to make those steeps. Not too bad the next day though.

Thanx, SS. New York cams looked NICE! Super clean. Wish I coulda hit it up there.

Thanx, burch..exactly what "Island" do you speak of?!

Definitely hard to control my pace with all that energy out there!

Here's the SS action from my local yesterday, 9/14/2020. Wind was kinda ok when I first jumped in then started going WAY too sideshore as the sesh wore on. The one sup surfer showed late and bailed on it almost right away.

Nice pix cookieman!
Glad Jerzey was feeding up some waves for you!

Cape Cod was firing on all cylinders yesterday
NEsurfSUP and I had our break all to ourselves for a while until a few other SUP friends joined us,
1.5 OH with bigger sets
and my SoloShot simply wouldn't film... I wasted a 1/2 hour before I gave up on filming..... soooo bummed  >:(

Best swell of the year and no cameras on it.  :-\
Soloshot did get a distant shot of NEsurfSUP dropping into a wave (Pic 2)
After the session, I took a few shots of a kid down the beach.... totally ripping and barrel chasing! (pic 1)
There were bigger sets... but at last I got a shot from the day.

RI with RbGar today was clean and fun but small.

supthecreek....You def scored! Looks amazing. Wish I was there! Stuck it out here in NJ at my local. Beachbreak slammers! Too bad about your SS. Funny cuz I had just packed mine up and stuck it in the corner and 10 mins later it falls right over SLAM! I'm like wtf! So I set it up and turn it on and it still works, thankfull! Then the next day there's no preview except those colored lines. So I shot anyways cuz that's happened b4 and I know it still RECs. Then after my session the sun is all funky red so I put it into Photo mode to take some pics and forgot to switch it back this morning so all my shots are of me standing around. Except for one! The SS takes nice hi-res shots. Worked in Manual mode to shoot the wahine girl that was out, I zoomed WAY in to get her.

Two really fun days with Paulette on Long Island and thankfully no damage here after Isiais left us without power for a week.  My wife got one shot of me and I took a few between sessions, including some of one of our local grom rippers who seems destined for bigger things...  Got to enjoy some draining heavy beach break and then some 300yd outer bar mushy bombs the following day in another spot nearby.  Looking forward to playing with Teddy next week!

We had a one day Head High pump that was really fun yesterday. Hurricane off Mex. Got some steep drops on an outer reef. On my toes on a few of them.
