Starboard Generation

Although I have other boards, I like the idea of a 12’6 all rounder. Any thoughts on how well it works in different conditions? I enjoy ocean paddling, catching glides on bumps and would like to have the ability to ride small waves. I used to have a Starboard Free-ride (30” width), which worked well except in surf. I’m concerned that the Generation may be tippy due to its 28” width. Thanks for your input.

Supboarder magazine did an in-depth review about this board and although I think they are Starboard biased, I think the review was pretty good. The board passed with flying colors.
Based on personal experience, I think this category of boards is very interesting and useful.

The Hypr Hawaii 12-6 gun is 12-6 x 29" and is very stable and surfs excellently. Or, if you live in Europe, the Gong Perv 12-6 x 30 is tough and excellent value and is a very stable surf-cruiser that surfs really well too.
