I got an email from Hans at finFoil.io and had a look at some of the newer developments:
1. Fins can now be designed with fin bases
2. There are different rendering materials
3. The window has buttons for standard views as well as a dynamic 3D view
4. There are accommodations for wing and foil design (mirrored pairs, importing *.dat files for loading in known foils, and the ability to design anhedral and dihedral curves like gull wings)
I am not a compensated spokesperson, just a fan from the beginning and have made many fins using the software. It has always been easier that 'regular' CAD systems for achieving nice foils. Design and lower resolution outputs are free, higher level stuff can be bought on as as-needed basis. Hans has also helped me solve other CAD issues related to fin design and manufacturing. He can also make fins to your specifications.
