Filling the reservoir
« on: August 17, 2020, 03:06:59 AM »
The stoke reservoir that is.  The days of big drops, power turns and hollow speed runs, I remember those days.  That stokes for sure.

For me though the average or less day has nothing to sear into the memory.  But it is still the most surfing I do, waiting for the next...

What got me as a kid on those first surfs, and what I can still get now at 60, is the glide.  And I just can’t get enough.

This was one of those forgettable surfs.

It's always the glide. I don't know why humans are wired to be addicted to that, but we certainly are. Even in racing cars, the feeling you get when you nail a set of corners as well as you can is swooping form of glide.

Having a one track mind I figured this post was about inflating the wing.  At any rate I've heard that as the wing nears max inflation it's best to slow the pumping down and make sure all extremities are extended properly so that the inner bladder doesn't kink.

Nice clean waves and a great session. Glide on J!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Thanks for the support guys.

It's always the glide. I don't know why humans are wired to be addicted to that, but we certainly are. Even in racing cars, the feeling you get when you nail a set of corners as well as you can is swooping form of glide.

It is something special. Also the reason you guys are all so hooked on anything foil.
The glide there must be ultimate.
