Very slick. Fabulous tech, the latest Carbon fiber 3D printers are amazing. Not only can they lay down the carbon, they can set the direction and length of every strand of tow. In a standard cloth layup the direction of the bulk of the fibers means they don't contribute to overall strength--even uni runs into all sorts of limitations.

Here's a long but fascinating video on standard carbon bike construction. A beautiful design, but watching it you can easily see how little of the carbon actually does what the designer wants.

That was a really good video. I've watched my neighbor build a few rockets ( M thru S size ) in his shop with pre-preg CF in molds and a large curing oven. The basic idea is to keep the motor from blowing right through the nose cone at launch.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.
