With that many people you should get more than one board.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

I passed by your group on Saturday. I paddled up to Three Arch Bay. It was an awesome morning to go for a long paddle. Even caught a downwinder on the way back. I was on my old 18' white unlimited Hobie with the 'original blue chevron strips' that I painted on way before anyone did:) I guess Dave B just liked that look. Just saying.... No patent trademarks or copyrights :)
BTW, it's good to see the Performance Paddle group getting bigger again. I'm seeing more people on race boards again. probably because all the gyms are still only partially open. Or maybe it's just summer and the weather is good. Keep it up. Here's a picture of Three Arch Bay but with my phone through a waterproof soft bag so it's a crappy pic.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Just show how far Infinity has come with their race boards, here's and old picture of me with one of their brand new prototypes that I raced. There were only literally maybe 10 Infinity raceboards in existence when this picture was taken. I had 2 of them. It was their first recessed foot well board (and a front steering mechanism-not shown), and I had to keep my feet really close together. It's a 16' x 29" board. Weighed about 40 lbs. There were no 14 ft boards made by anyone at the time.

Great pics TallDude, funny how board design has changed over the years. Saturday was our last long paddle training before the 16 miler on the 25th. It was a beautiful morning as we started at 6:30 am with no wind, little swell made for a challenge for me as a newbie to open ocean. It was my longest open ocean paddle so far. I did fall three times, twice I caught myself on the front of my board and the third well I went in, kinda felt good as it was very warm. Still trying to get my sea legs hopefully that will come with time. I am very humbled by the sport and have so much respect for the people who are very good paddlers, young, old, male, female...I will get there eventualy.........I HOPE ;) BTW love that Infinity board, do you still have it? I think you're correct Ive seen a lot more paddlers out as of late. Our training club has grown Since the whole covid thing, Mon, Wed, fri evenings we have close to 20 paddlers, its super fun.

Stay with it SC. More open ocean time will build your confidence as well as experience in dealing with all different types of conditions. I don't have those old Infinity race boards anymore. The orange one in the picture was just given to me to race with. I only had it for a few months. Steve promised me an unlimited to race, but he built a tandem unlimited and said I could race that. It was for him a Barrie not really for racing. I knew a bunch of people at Hobie and they gave me an unlimited to race with. At the time, Hobie's were the top race boards. I starting racing Hobies after that. I've had my eye on an Infinity race board for a while now. The problem is I'm to big for a 14' board. Jerry who paddles with you guys is the same size as me. I keep telling him he needs to try one of my unlimiteds. For me the 14' would just be a touring board. Which is fine. Fun to go in and out of the surf with and paddle in choppy conditions.

It's beating a dead horse, but the strange pivot to 14 pretty much cut the market for SUP racing in half.

That's a beautiful looking board, though at that weight it would be nice wall art.
