Board is too small to sup. Can't standup and paddle. For wing I'm expecting it to be good for beginner. If I could do over would have gotten 125L so I could sup foil in surf also. I decided against it because it's 6" longer for only more 15L which didn't sound like a good tradeoff.

You are not able to stand on it in flat water? What size board do you SUP with?

Haven't tried using wing to help stabilize me when standing which should make a dif. I've only tried standing on it once and it was kinda bumpy. Not sure what I was expecting??

I have a SIC Bullet 14x30. Very stable even in choppy conditions. I haven't gone thru the process of reducing board size as I progress as many sup surfers have.

I try to digest all the varied info in this forum and try imagine how it relates to me. Even tho I've made some progress on foil my expectations weren't realistic. But hey if was easy what would there be to post about? Just need some wind and determination. Thanks for commenting.

You are doing awesome on the foil. I too learned by towing. However behind a jet ski so I didn't get to ride a wake, so envious of your experience.

Dropping down from a 14' to a 6' board would be nearly impossible to stand on your first go in bumpy water. Practice on glassy water. You may fall off a hundred times, but I bet you will be able to stand on it in a day or two.

I predict once you have enough wind and are able to stand up on the board with the wing, you will get up on foil and get rides your first day. Looking forward to that report!
