Open ocean paddle training for (M2O virtual)

Twenty of us out of Dana Point doing some open ocean training, red buoy to green buoy and back to the harbor x 3
14' x 27" Infinity blackfish
10'4 Infinity wide aquatic
14 x 24.5 Infinity blackfish dugout

You're getting pretty confortable out in the ocean I see. Great group to paddle with.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

You're getting pretty confortable out in the ocean I see. Great group to paddle with.

I still have a ways to go, I was very sore maybe because of tensing up so much. People around me seemed very comfortable I was like holding on for dear life ;). It was pretty glassy and definitely some swell that made me work to stay upright. You should go out with us, its a great group.

For me, ocean paddling has a completely different feel than non-ocean paddling, even when its nice and smooth. I don't know what it is, but even if I've been paddling off ocean pretty regularly, and then I go back on the ocean it always takes me a good 15 minutes to get my legs under me, relax, and feel comfortable. Plus I resign myself to the fact that I'm probably gonna fall off at least once.

Yup I hear you brother, its a total different feeling coming out of the flat stuff in the harbor
