I don’t wear a mask if I’m going outside for a walk or some other outside activity where I’m not around a lot of people. But I do wear one to go grocery shopping, go to massage or basically when I’m doing any kind of indoor experience. But what I find troubling, is that I see less and less people wearing them. In my province (British Columbia) we are generally regarded as having done a pretty good job with this pandemic, so maybe people are getting complacent. Here (https://www.sfgate.com/news/editorspicks/article/What-they-don-t-tell-you-about-surviving-15347792.php) is a good article as to why we should not be complacent.

I live in BC and the vast majority from the Okanagan to the west and east Kootenays have never worn a mask period. It’s not like the majority in Vancouver wear masks either.  It didn’t help when the medical professionals calling the shots on what or what not to do, kept flipping the script on whether it was beneficial to wear a mask or not, 2 bloody months into the pandemic. There was ongoing debate for weeks coming right from the top on what type of mask, or if a mask at all was beneficial.

I don’t live in Vancouver. I’m in the Fraser Valley. And my point was that I saw a lot more people wearing masks previously than I do now. When I previously went into a grocery store the majority of people would be wearing masks and I’d say now the majority are not.
And while I think we have had excellent leadership throughout this ordeal, I would agree that there was mixed messaging on masks.

And speaking of masks, here (https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/trump-supporters-florida-face-masks_n_5ef3daa7c5b643f5b22edf0d?utm_hp_ref=ca-us-politics) is an article I just ran across re the mask debate in Palm Beach County, Florida. Pretty wacky!

Wow. The deep state and communism as reasons for mask wearing. God will dole out the punishment. Crazy times.

There have been improvements in treatment etc, and the case fatality rate has dropped, but it hasn't dropped that much (first chart below).  This is only one metric and it is imperfect but this would still suggest that a spike in cases will result in a spike in deaths.  https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus

As for masks, the projections for adoption of universal mask use are very dramatic.  We are talking about the difference between projections at 800 deaths a day vs 80 (34,000 lives by Oct 1).  https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america

I’m from FL and those people are everywhere it seems. I wonder how many of these peoples family members railed this hard against the UPC bar code when it was introduced. I’m still on the waiting list to get my bar code tattooed on the back of my neck lol

It does seem strange to put a mask on just before I go into the bank..... Somehow they always know it's me?

OK, this is the best.  It tuns out that in 2020 all ideas are equal.  If you can think it, it has merit.

Yup. Wearing a mask is all about 5G and the Deep State. Got it. Now I'm truly afraid. Not of 5G the Deep State, but rather to know that people like this actually exist. And vote. And reproduce.
