It's different to work with. It soaks up a lot of resin. Some companies say use 30% more resin! That's why I found you have to vac it. A good weave material helps as well. The UD stuff can get rough like kevlar or innegra.
It's easy to get in France as it's made here. It's not cheap though.
I was out today with my 10 year old daughter and her friends with a board that is carbon/innegra bottom then carbon/innegra rail tape and then flax over the bottom and rail. They were bashing the crap out of it and not a problem. It is rail taped but they were hitting it where there was no tape.

Did you do that without heating it? I had to heat the airex to get it to wrap the rails without cracking. Once you have heated the airex it keeps its shape.
Will you glass between the blank and diab foam?
One board I did I used PU glue to glue the PVC foam to the blank as I wasnt putting a layer of glass.

No heat, bends very easily without breaking.
Yes, but what schedule should I use? I have 4oz, 6oz, carbon and innegra on hand.
Carbon between the foams? Innegra with 4oz on bottom and 6oz on deck?
or
4oz between foams with carbon innegra on top?

options

Exiled, I’ve had pretty good luck with dual 6 Oz e-glass and epoxy.  I think this is because while sandwich boards are strong AF,  the factory boards don’t have the bounce that epoxy and glass do, to me. Also those nice paint jobs crack instead of flex. How crazy you looking to get? What kind of dings you getting? I hurt my boards in transit more than in the water.

For me the secret is to not make the skin too stiff. I’m betting that’s what that innegra and epoxy does for DW. Bounce.

It's gotta be impervious to paddle strikes, knee drops onto the deck, and falling out of my car onto pavement.
Boards that have passed this test in the past include: Starboard old AST construction, but it was super stiff and heavy. Dave Mel on Maui built me a custom that was 3mm of AirRex (brand of PVC I think) sandwiched between a layer of 4 oz and a layer of 6 oz. That one was light and durable enough to last for about 5 years before it started to get dings. My current daily driver is from Coil Industries, they are pretty tight lipped about exactly what they do, but the fabric looks exotic. Seems pretty strong so far, but not as strong as the other two boards. My Sunova was also pretty strong, but not as bombproof as any of those boards, I was surprised at the cracks on the carbon rails. Other brands and customs have fallen much shorter.

Sounds like I might have some competition in the board beating category. I drop everything sooner or later--mostly sooner. Okay, daily. You should see Admin's look when I pick up one of his boards. When he sells his stuff it's in better shape than mine is when it's a day old.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Thanks, I'll use 4 in the sandwhich  and 3.5 innegra with 4  top and bottom  and a carbon deck patch. :)

I've been a contender in this category for a while, just didn't have as many years on this earth to perfect my method :D
Maybe for the serial abusers, the way to go is an XPS core? I still haven't found a construction I couldn't break so maybe just get a core that doesn't suck-up water for when I do break it.
I've read there are some other benefits for this core in the surfboards realm.
in progress...
