Anyhow, lots of cool sensations here.  Can't wait to try it on a smoother, more swell oriented day.
Won't take long to get used to that and then you'll never go back.

After today, I think you are right.  The wind was nice 4.2 for me and I had a ball on the 96.  Pumping is quarter step slower but I think I have mostly adjusted for that now.  The things that I am enjoying most are the options that extra height allows and the added stability when getting started.  It also seems like it is able to point super high without stalling.  The extra height lets you drop the wing right on the rail of the board with no worry of dragging.  That is a pretty cool feeling.  Also, when its light and you let the wing fly you up, you can go way up.  That allows for some deep, long swoops through dead spots.  That feels great.

If water depth was not an issue for me, I would always use a 33-36 inch mast.  I think one gets used to any disadvantages very quickly and you have so much more freedom of movement.

Got a Gong monoblock (their 100cm carbon mast) on order - can't wait to give it a go!
