I own a 4'6 Nubby. I bought it on impulse while they were doing a sale. At 35L it feels a bit small for my skill level so its not fair to review it performance wise but Amundson boards have a good rep and sizable market share in the oahu foil community. Build quality seems pretty good for a surfboard, he sets his boxes well and claimed he hasn't had a blowout in years on the Progression Project podcast. The glassing is not as tough as my full carbon blue planet board, which resists my swinging it into the wall and other klutzy handling. But if you remember to treat it like a surfboard and not a club you will probably be fine.

Second board. I bought a big old blue planet 6'0 69L easy foiler to learn on. I'm 210 lbs and hadn't surfed a prone surfboard in 20 years so I wanted the easiest board I could get. The 4'6 35L Nubby is probably the smallest board I could conceivably use, a challenge board I'm not up to, at least not yet. Might end up being too small, who knows.

You're on Oahu, right? You might just want to reach out to John and talk to him yourself.
