I fell in love with the saltwater environment when I was 8 years old when my late dad took me to Ocean City, Maryland on a father and son trip to catch blue crabs. After that, I was literally "hooked" on anything which had to so with saltwater whether it was saltwater fishing, sailing, power boating, prone surfing, etc.

This is why I ventured into the maritime industry to make my living for work. And since I'm stuck at home right now, this song below will be my contribution to this topic thread since this virus situation "feels like the worst trip I've ever been on". I'm looking forward to seeing the good times again.

I'll start out with the old weird surf stuff. Then the classic surfing stuff. Then the classic surf theme. Both Honk and the Sandals are local surf bands I grew up with.

Tall Dude 5 Summer Stories was the best surf film ever made.  I watch it at least 2 times a year and the soundtrack is on my playlists. Honk was a great band and Pipeline Sequence such an amazing song..love the saxophone.

Just watched it. It's been a while. So much good Pipeline footage with my hero's of surf. The early skating stuff brings back good memories too. I think I'll watch 'On any Sunday' next.

It's another day in paradise as they say. I'm up early for Easter morning. Because of the "stay at home" directive here in Texas and all of the public beaches are closed down at Surfside, Texas, I'm missing going down to Surfside  on the Gulf of Mexico for some sup surfing.

I thought I would add this song from one of our local bands.

So much good feel music here. There is nice play list developing. Of course Crosby Stills Nash and Young's  'Deja Vu' is just an all time great album. So while searching through the songs I came across an inspiring version of 'Helpless' by a group of students from Italy. It brought me to tears... so... I'll post it because it needs to be. It's a little out of the flow of this thread, so if you want to pass the tear jerk  :'( watch the second one....

A little less emotional and more inline with Clay's Thread.. This is a Gem.

Great thread starter Clay. You're four for four with the first post.

Back in 1995 I was sitting in a tiny cafe in Cabarete, Dominican Republic while on a windsurfing trip and I heard this song on their stereo. I asked the waitress who sang it and I have been a MANA fan ever since.  To me this song sounded like The Police but in Spanish...

In keeping with my beach motif, I thought this song below would be a good fit for this topic thread. The song has a good beat with good lyrics. I love the guitar and saxophone in this song. And if you've got a "few years on you", you'll understand the meaning of the lyrics.

BTW, when the music starts to slow down at the end, it will speed up again as a short instrumental which fades out at the end.
