Your method is pretty ingenious. Cool of you to share how you make those things.

Cool article. I might try a few hand-shaped wings just for the hell of it. I have an outfit locally that will take my fusion 3D designs and mow them for me. Cheaply. Now if I could just find the time to do them in Fusion. Every time I open the software I realize I've forgotten everything I learned last time.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Pono, please post up some starter wing models.

I’ve got folks who can cut them too down here. Actually using his method you could use a pretty small 3 axis cnc and just flip them.

How about a Fusion360 webinar or zoom series for the CAD-curious zoners? I can hack around but I’ve never put in the time (and had some help) to get proficient at editing wings.

Spot prize for anyone who can guess the theory behind this wing. Im not giving any details but i cant find any info relating to it previously being tried on a hydrofoil.

So you can turn with one side of the wing out of the water?

The extremely low chord feels like it might glide for days.

They look great , Cloud 9 has just released a version along those lines but not quite as radical as yours. I've been test riding them super-efficient wings.

Close! This one isnt a flying wing but youre on the right track. The horten brothers were also on the right track, they just didnt realize it at the time.

Those new wings look wicked, but the design and theory behind it are worlds apart i promise! Not saying mine will work better, just that at this point its very different and no one can know for sure until we have tried it
