yew!  20+ mph on a skateboard with no knee/elbow/wrist pads.  That looks super fun, and also super scary

With the Carve Skateboard's long wheel base and pneumatic tires (racing slicks)(40PSI)
It feels solid..
Good way to get down wing handling.
Directionally restricted because the bike path goes where it goes...
But yeah when it catches it is like a sling shot..
Compress....

Have been skating with a wing most of the winter. Usually in parking lots, just practicing jibes, tacks and 360s. I use a 34” Carvestik. Similar trucks, but regular wheels. It’s a blast.

Right On !
I am going to check it out..
The Pneumatic tires are very forgiving with roughness and debris.
Don't want my wheels jamming at 20 MPH..

Also you can play around with air pressure for different surfaces/ conditions

Pneumatics are boggy until you hit speed...

The carvestik is a great board. I have had it forever. Pumps really well, turns with a short board surfboard feel. Lots of whip. I haven’t ridden one of the longer ones like yours in years, but I am guessing the pneumatic tires and long wheelbase are better for screaming downwind on the bike path. My question is: can you ride yours on sand? Or are the tires too slick?

Well they’re pretty big tires but I think with the softer substrate you’ll need a lot more push to get going.  Might be a lot more work trying to Transfer the force from the wing into the board on a  softer  substrate.  I’ve had this board for years and really didn’t use it like a regular skateboard I’d rather use a harder wheel for regular skateboarding .  You can also buy knobby tires if you want to do downhill .

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of the possibilities on some of the wide hard sand beaches in the NW. The Carvestick can be used much more like a regular skateboard. I used to commute down Broadway in NYC on mine. A little crazy weaving in and out of the cabs, but fun.
