It is pretty amazing. I thought my Hero 5 black had good stabilization, but it's so bad compared to the 8. My videos only look smooth when I slow them down. At regular speed, it's pretty rough by comparison. Not going to run out and buy one till my 5 takes a shit.

It is an amazing unit.  I had missed about 5 generations of GoPro so this one was really an eye opener.  Really easy to use with great image quality.  The image stabilization is unreal.  Boost mode is kind of magic.  The door is a little touchy, but other than that - great buy.

I'm still running with my Silver 4🤣🤣 but after seeing the stabilization difference, my eye is beginning to twitch for an 8
