Two great boards....seems to me that the Whiplash, judging by its design, not personal experience, would be faster and more comfortable the flatter the water. The V2, from personal experience, is fast enough, and feels like it can take on any water conditions that get thrown at it.

I have an infinity surf shape, and the quality is excellent. But so is the SIC build. V2s changed graphics and added innegra reinforcements at some point. Maybe 2016. So after that the boards are a little stronger and a little heavier.

Sounds like another case of HSBPP (Hair splitting board purchase paralysis)  ;)

Iím liking the Bullet now that itís in the mix. The V2 will work well as an all rounder for you, and because of itís versatility, you would likely keep it it for a long time. The Bullet is very comfortable to paddle and the carry handle is still the best in the industry. Even in the heavier construction with the Bullet, the handle makes the board noticeably easier to carry than other brands that are a few pounds lighter.

I would have one thing to add for the downwinder based board is that they make a lot of slapping noise on flat water which can get a little annoying if your trying to enjoy the silence.

OK, drum roll...drdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdrd...................Whiplash!

Just couldn't resit.  Best price.  Board is pristine and it included the bag and quad set up.  Only did 2 miles on the way back but I would say that it's easily equal in stability to my old Glide 27.5".  More stable feeling than my Allstar 26.5.  Some primary stability be the secondary can really be leaned on.

Nice score. Custom work already done for you. Good that you find it nice and stable right off the bat too.
