Ozone in MEX
« on: January 10, 2020, 06:13:53 AM »
I got these pics from Cynthia 'Cynbad' Brown. (Facebook - Instagram)  The fellow featured is Johnny Heineken.  She mentioned doing a 12-mile downwinder earlier this week. (C'hit... I have driven 12mi to work every day for 30yrs - I know how far that is. Whew!)

WOW. Looks like a Mike's Lab Bullet 5 windsurf foil and ML board. That setup will be hard to beat at the upcoming wingfoil race in La Ventana for sure. I guess Mike is getting back into the windsurf racing scene? That foil makes alot of sense in many respects in terms of stability and speed in regards to wingfoiling aside from it likely being difficult to pump. Anyone have more info?

12 miles is over quickly with a foil if conditions are good. That foil looks very spooky--I'd want an ejection system to get away from it if things went bad.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

I looked back - I didn't recognise the name (as if I should?!) It's a Mike Zajicek, windsurfing foil.  I gather it's haul-ass and very smooth. (isn't that kinda automatic?)

I had two reactions (even not knowing c'hit), like you Bill, it looked like a Sushi knife.  Isn't that fuselage a lot longer also?  Directional control at speed?
