Broken mast seems extreme but I’ll leave it to other to pitch in as well.

First does your wing float so that if it breaks again you won’t lose your mast?

If i was fixing it I’d sand down and fair (fare?) it back 3-4” each way and take it down to the foam or whatever core it has. If it’s solid I’m going to goes you need to put a 1/4” of carbon at the deepest point and fare it to the top level 4” out. That will be a ton of layers of carbon (10?) but it’s just a guess.

I’d like to hear DW and Pono on this one honestly.

Also, bagging is a must. Check my aquarium pump bagging rig. Should be an easy search.

I can't tell much from the pictures. The tape is in the way. Cowboy's approach is good if the break is accessible. You're going to need more layers of carbon than you might expect and they need a few inches of overlap past the break on either side. You also need to get as much of the epoxy out of the matrix as you can, so prewetting on a table is necessary and bagging the laid up part is a must. You'll have adhesion issues to the existing carbon as well--the bond is going to be just mechanical. You need to fair back the break a lot, and expose the carbon layers down to the form, whatever that is.

Looking good. I’ve bagged at least 8 or 9 layers of carbon. Just wet it out on a table to keep it lean and then bag it with bleeder cloth
