There is something awesome about foiling in light air.  This guy looks like a smaller guy going for a large wing and a smaller, higher aspect foil.  He is moving at a good clip for those light winds.  That type of combo is really interesting.

thanks DavidJohn, that was a nice vid and something to think about in terms of wing size to purchase.

Hmm - doesn't look like that 'light wind' to me!

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice vid and a nice demo of the wing and can't really complain that they're presenting their product in the best conditions possible, but all that footage is easily 12 knots, which is in the range of the smaller sizes already on the market (says the armchair critic  ::))

New prototypes coming from SS. Good video on his Instagram feed of it in action.

Ponobill and Admin, does that SS look anything like the proto you saw Tony using?

I ask, because we’ve seen than wing Spencer is riding going back 6-9 months.

The leading edge looks much more swept back than what I recall, but the wing we played with was also much larger.  Shooting Starfish?

Somewhat, though my memory is as reliable as a rabbit's romance.

A lot of starfish in this little corner of the water world. Have none of these people seen "Son of the Beach"? No Notch Johnson fans?
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Sorry, Son of a Beach was so long ago, I have no memory of anything on that show, other than what it was, a Howard Stern spoof of Baywatch.

Here is Gaastra's new entry https://ga-kiteboarding.com/kites/kites-2020/air-wing-20/ .  Nice shape for the luff strut.  Deep D lower aspect outline, though.  4.2 only at this point.
