Gong 10'2
« on: March 28, 2009, 11:45:29 AM »
Hi, any review or test or opinion on the Gong 10'2 batwing tail?
It seems to be a best seller in France.
What about performance, fin set up, etc?

Thanks

This was my second board (firt was a 12' gong). It's a good board, stable and good for surfing but compared to the 10'C4 (wich was my 3rd board) it has anything to see. But I guess the 10'2 gong was too big for me (too wide and thick).
For me the 10'2 Gong is good to learn or for bigger guy (>80 kg) who doesn't want to spend too much money (it's not expensive and comfortable).

The modern version of this board has a quad fin set up.
How does this affect flat water paddling , catching waves and drive?

Hi Sylvano,

As Cloclo said nothing to see with the C4. I also had a Gong 10'2 before the C4, and when I change boards, I could not believe how much easier was that board. Smaller, but more stable and better surf.

The board performs very well in small and Big surf.
Don't know where you are from, but try to arrange a testdrive. For the Canaries contact: nicolas.dd@teleline.es
I'm sure he has one available.

check www.gongsup.com for amazing prices and NEW MODELS from Drops(shapes from gong master shaper)

Get one in Highteck and have a super light and durable SUP. Have a look on gongsup.com there is a lot to be found. You could even contact ours(P Guenole) on the forum and get advice on which board will be right for you.
