It's only at the beginning and end of this 'kitemare' (I had those) but it is interesting...

not the best demo of something that works amazingly well.

But interesting if it does work. Simple. Simple is good.

I'm guessing it will be hard work doing it with a wing and you really need that tail to counter balance.

I'm not fully convince of the vid but great effort on that setup though. I'm thinking, have you ever seen a plan with no tail wing, I'm talking about comerciaal plains.

JEG - Ya, but... Commercial airlines haul a load-a-c'hit to make $$ so need a long, empty cavity to fill, MIL needs frantic maneuverability and massive power, so they need tailplanes. Even little ole' Cessnas move thru a lot of airspace compared to that guy on the foil.

I'd bet -if one guy is working on it- others will notice. There's fun ahead if enough early adaptors fund progress.

I remembered a tailless flyer done by a NASA engineer.  With an Elizabethan name, Barnaby Wainfan, he had to be the smartest kid in school and probably developed quick fists.  He published a book on airfoils and done other exotica within aviation.  I had not heard that he said it, but it seems apparent; 'it is not only smooth that lifts'.
