Mischief Night..... Solo SUP session
« on: October 31, 2019, 11:23:08 AM »
Nothing spooky here....  ;D
A delightfully warm, sunny day in New England.... on the day before Halloween.

Totally comfortable for a 2 hour session in trunks and 2 mm top.

I like those type of waves. And for you, I am going to guess you were the only surfer, prone or sup, who was surfing.

Thanks for sharing your video.

Seems like the thought of being violently attacked or eaten by a 18 foot great white shark has kept the crowds down in your area.

That worked for a little while out here.

You're getting the knack for this video business, Creeky.  That, waddacallit, insert/overlay was pretty trick...  You turned skim milk into Häagen-Dazs there - good for you.

Thanks RJ! Hope all is well in Fla!

TD, I appreciate that  :)

Wingman, it was an awesome day just to be on the water. Alone made it amazing and peaceful

Steve: I was about 2 hours from Sharkville, so not a big shark area but yes, I have come to a greater appreciation for the insane numbers of Great Whites that hang out in our line-ups..... no more crowds.  ;D

Jimmy.... thanks buddy, I am still learning what Imovie can do. Definitely adds more fun to the editing process.

hummmm... now I want some Haagen-Daz.
As I type this, I look out my window at the Ice Cream Cafe'.... 200 feet from my house.
I still have never been there.
Just too damn close, to tempt that addiction.  :-X  ;D ;D

I still take my son to the donut shop and wife to the ice cream parlor, and vicariously enjoy and remember all the flavors well. It's been almost a year now with no sugar.... Hanging in there right at 220. No temptations anymore.

Thanks Creek

I enjoyed the vibe and the “minicreek” surfing on the dashboard of your car. Priceless!

Lookin' loose, Daddy-o! You are my role model for longevity...Tom too. I like that super imposed image of you riding in the intro. Very cool effect. Your beach crash at the end made me lol for real!

ntw- That wave looks perfect for foiling. Hopefully next summer I'll get back to figuring that out!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

FRP:
Thanks...  dashboard surfing is pretty fun  :)

Cookieman:
Actually, not a good foil spot.
What you can't see is LOTS of rocks, inches below the surface.... some go dry as the waves suckup.... (pic 1) shows a different angle on what's underneath the entire break.

Today, I surfed at my local sandbar
Perfect for foil  (pic 2)
Brendan called me into this wave with him... we were going to crisscross, but he crashed before we could do it.
