Good technical explanation of glassing
« on: October 26, 2019, 08:43:33 AM »
I like this guy's videos, he's a capable geek with deep knowledge from a physics/chemistry sense. It's specifically about boatbuilding, but the information is useful for anyone doing glass work.

I also recommend the Tesla Catamaran series to anyone thinking about foil building. My eyes popped open a bit when I saw the tape "stitching" method of forming a hull. I immediately realized the potential for making simple airfoils that way.

helpful--the second coat when tacky with monomers--the amine wipeoff after curing--and always put epoxy down first, level if possible, glass on top--sensible, when he shows

I subscribed. Great detailed explanations. Didn't realize that epoxy leaves a water based residue.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

LOL Pono our YouTube algorithms must be pretty well sync’d. I got this recommended and watched it yesterday over coffee.

I agree and I want to try fill coating before things set but I worry about getting laps to lay flat over a fill coat. But it does inspire me to flip faster for sure.
