Hey Creek, Thailand 2 years ago,  Portugal last year,  where are you spending next winter?  How about Southern California?

Hi Tom, sorry, I just saw this!
No plan just yet, but I am avoiding a wetsuit so far, and thinking how much I don't want to wear one.
SoCal is interesting, and I spent 3 winters there in early 70's.....

I'm just going to see what opportunities present themselves.  ;D

I can't put you up for 3 months, but I'd love to have you  stay with me for a week or two if you're out here. Also, you may need a 3 2 or at least a spring suit. I can guarantee waves and you can maintain your suntan.

itll be way cheaper to take my own gear/board when i visit my daughter in berkeley 11/6-12, than to rent---and dealing with crap rental gear at an unfamiliar break aint no fun for this cranky old guy

ima chk the forecast before i go, and make the call on bringing gear or not then--alaska air counts board as a checked piece of luggage @ 40$ ea way

planning to surf mornings/early afternoons where conditions allow

anyone local wants to surf with me, in spite of my progdem leanings, hit my pm
