I tried to take tomorrow morning off to go to Long Beach (Rockaways wind angle looks bad), but alas...Might have to wait for the weekend dribbles.

Looks like days of waves but plenty of wind for my last couple weeks in Maine. Doesnt look favorable for my favorite break but fingers crossed Might have to break out some wave sailing gear. Monday looks good for now and clean and everyone will be back  to school and work😃

Contemplating taking off Thursday but reality is I would be lucky to pick up scraps on Saturday morning.  If there is any.  I guess the swell gods take the weekends off too.

Only 7-8 more years left and every day will be Saturday!

We seem to get caught in a c'hit-sandwich. Poundy, no angle for the hurricanes then Victory at Sea in this Nor'east blow.  Sideshore up to 30mph for the next three days - no place to hide.

Yesterday, on the Hatteras cam. It was knarly but kiters were flying offshore.

NH is getting three days of heavy onshore wind Thursday/Friday/Saturday so the big days will be unsurfable for the most part. Then three days of glassy/clean surf. Head high Sunday, Chest high Monday. Waist high Tuesday.

Found myself a south facing break with chest/shoulder high runners today in South Jersey. Better yet, I had myself 2 hours  of a "Creek style" solo session on my Creek. It was windy, no doubt but I was rewarded. Not the best picture but even with 67 degree water temps, the wind was so strong I was way to cold worrying about the quality. First day in a 3/2 since May and it still wasn't enough.

Nice looking left.

Seawater is 56 up here. I've already worn my 5/4 twice this month.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Stoked you had a good session on your "Creek" ! :)

Cookieman:
sorry you are sitting out on the shoulder.... surf photog is a good way to pass the downtime and still feel connected!

Meanwhile.... some folks are out on the southside of New England today, dealing with some wind!

I was down in Matunuck and Judith yesterday. The wind was whipping but it was perfectly offshore and holding things up nicely. Much bigger and stronger winds today.

Looking like the winds will shift up here in northern NE on Sat night... Sun and Mon should be fun if the swell holds.
