I think it looks heavy, draggy, and solves a problem I do not personally have since I rarely take my mast off my board.  The few times I have taken it off, it really doesn't take very long to remove nor install.  So, I'm still 100% behind Tuttle personally.

The slotted screw holes on the Axis, and many other plates are fast. As fast as fighting to install a tight Tuttle, and get the screws super tight.

They solved an issue for just a few brands, with a plain hole in the base plate.
