Twin Masts!?!?!?
« on: September 17, 2019, 02:51:51 PM »
Signature Surf Foils posted this on Facebook... "TWIN-TRAX
So about 6 months ago we started experimenting with twin masts. Trying different configurations: from single long wings, to double wings, different size wings, different length masts to some weird contraptions which are better not shown 😜 & gotta say it's been rather interesting.

Feels somewhat like riding a bicycle compared to a unicycle, super stable so possibly great for beginners. On a wave feels way different so still rate single better in waves, but should soon have some new innovations that could potentially influence more the AIR wing / race scene, so let's see where this all goes. Either way loads of fun so let us know what ya reckon 😎🦅

🎥 Nate and Iv trying some of the earlier twin "contraptions".:"

and it looks like Signature is working on a new lighter wing as well, like the Fone.

Good to see innovation.  Was listening to the Progression project podcast with Clifford Coetzer who designed the Unifoil and Signature foils.  Sounds like there is a smaller 190 High Aspect front wing in the works too...

The wing is still the same. How would twin masts help? Maybe better leverage? Not sure I see the point.

I actually agree especially for surf... will be interesting to see if anything comes of this for use with wind wings...
