3 nice sessions on 12 ft Sunova Point Break
« on: September 17, 2019, 05:41:00 AM »
1st session
with Point Break originator, RbGar.... at his double secret access, Cowpaddy's "A" frame peak

2nd session
Hurricane Dorian swell had every good break in Rhody packed with surfers frothing for the weekend swell
So my buddy Ryan and I did a workaround  :)

3rd session
flat-water glass and the windsurfing option discussed

I'd say RbGar's baby is coming of age  ;D ;D

I used mine exclusively since received.  Often I paddle a mile down the beach to surf.
It works in small and large. I have had it out in waves twice the size of waves in the video.
Sooo good. Stand over the fins and she really turns nice. I kept mine as quad.
Last session was the best since like 04/01. I was a pig dog and surfed over 4 hours.
Love this board. Can't wait for over use injury to settle down then back at it.

You just might want to put an order in so more are made. Mine is not for sale.

@ Rick

Nice set of waves when riding your 12' Point Break. Looked real fast on the waves too.

BTW, nice looking Thule Roof Rack setup on RG's suv. I really like those pool noodles since I have the same square bars. I'm going to purchase  a pair of pool noodles and cut them to size so they fit on my square bars.

As always, thanks for sharing your videos.

Good job, Creek. That ollie over rock looked sketch. To bad the SS wandered. I had quite a bit of that too trying to shoot the waves off Dorian. Your 12' Sunova looks looser than most boards that size. Guessin' 2+1 setup?
Funny, I recently water swapped w/a buddy who was on an 11'6'' Starboard All-arounder. Took me about 10 minutes to get used to the thing but then found the groove.

btw- woulda enjoyed some tunes in your quality vid.  ;)
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Looks like fun!  wouldn't fit into my apartment even if I could afford it. But I like the flexibility of going for a long paddle and a surf on the same board.

nothing like a longboard session, it's relaxing and fun and easy to paddle in and out. I like the farm spot and that bunny hop over the rock supthecreek.

Sun, Point Break, Easy paddle out, Glassy, Uncrowded, Waist to Shoulder, Warm water, No rubber, The Perfect board, Swapping waves with your bros, .... checked a lot of fun boxes....  Another Creek video well done.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Biggest struggle of my video life.
Since I do not produce music, I must use others, but I got busted once by YouTube....
I simply can't afford to be removed from YouTube. That is not an option.

Right now, I have a video that is perfect with the song I picked for it..... and I can't use it.
Loses so much without the song, so I may have to rework the video.

My Thailand video was 14 minutes long.... worked forever on the right sound track. Perfect.
Got busted.
Never published the vid, because a 14 min video needs a sound track....  :-\

It really does look like an ideal shape and size to be made as a 2-piece for traveling.

Rick, I actually enjoy your videos more because of natural sounds. In this particular video sounds of birds' wing-flapping put a smile on my face.
The combination of the first-person point of view and wind is the best music to my ears. I feel like I'm there ;)

btw  As soon as I'm done with my move  and settled  would like to join Point Break crew one day if you don't mind cooks in your company haha

cheers

ha ha, I had 3 types of punishment for my kids when they were young...... me, singing in public, was the most effective  ;D ;D ;D

oceanAddict..... Noooo, don't move from your perfect point break, I haven't surfed it with you yet!!!!
Wow... that would be trippy, 3 "Point Breaks" out at once.
We'd have to go somewhere totally private, or the line-up would melt down  ;D ;D ;D

and I agree that most of the time, natural sounds are best.... but sometimes the perfect song hits me, then the vid just seems lifeless without it.
The paid music sites are all crap elevator music... so I am constantly scouring for offbeat, cool tunes that fit and won't bust me.
