Great video, answered a lot of questions with clear and easy to see and understand answers.  Wish we had those same conditions every day...what a great place to wingsurf!

Always enjoy watching your videos Robert. Thanks!
I remember you mentioning a shorter foil mast for those of us who  surf foil in shallower water. Any news?
Cheers

Great video Robert, not many places in the world with that setup, looks perfect for it!
What was the wind blowing that day?

Nice vid.  Making it look easy Robert.  Do you have any tips or videos on flying through transitions?  I'm still struggling with stalling during tacks and jibes and any advice is appreciated.

Crank a harder jibe. Foils gain energy when cranking turns. Wide jibes bad.

Thanks DW.  I'm having an issue with the nose of my board plowing in and submerging when transitioning to downwind during the jibe.  Have you found that a tighter turn, maybe switching hands sooner or carving a tighter radius, helps?

I like to shoot down wind a bit in the turns. You can start pumping the foil and work the turn without the wing's power to get the timing. Speed is your friend, and pumping the wing and foil will keep you going. Rely more on the foil power over the wings pull. I found it harder turning in flat water, in the ocean swell you can catch some swell and ride it forever with a big foil. There's a bunch of techniques and styles for turning so you have to try a few different things and see what works for you. Flat water will require a faster turn to keep the wind in the wing.

Beginners usually blow the wing out on a jibe. You must be, being extra cautious going into the jibe.

You should fly past downwind no issue. Go in high and fast, but wing still buried safely. Come out low. You have plenty of time deal with the hand switch on the Swing, because the foil will hover at near zero speed on the exit of the jibe. You can grab power back in the Swing before you touch down. The hand switch will be after youíre already through the jibe.

Yes, crank it tighter and go in fast. Itís fun. Forget about the Swing the first time you try it.
