anyone try to carry on a foil bag on airplane?
« on: September 11, 2019, 07:32:48 AM »
Just curious if anyone has tried to carry a foil bag complete with foil onto an airplane?

Some of the bags are great and pack the foil so nicely and would be great to carry on when traveling, but they probably look like a weapon in the x ray machine.

any thoughts?

I have checked mine several times in the ke Nalu case with foam and found tsa opened it.   I would be sketchy about trying to have it as carry on.  The could easily make you try and fit it in those measurement crates for carry on luggage.  I know my foils are too long to fit in those.

I am considering a pelican rifle case to fit multiple foils in with all the foam and stuff to keep everything in place and protect it all.  Heck, we pay enough for the gear, might as well protect it.
