APP World Tour Event on Long Beach NY this week
« on: September 01, 2019, 06:56:32 PM »
Anybody going?

I will be there from Tuesday through Friday.
Tino and Bert from Sunova will be there as well, plus many of our riders like Sean Pointer, Noic and Yuka will be there.

Get in touch with me and say hi!
I'll be hanging with the Sunova peeps much of the time..... look for Balsa boards  :)

These events are always a blast and the Pros are nice, approachable folks.
Last one, I was in the practice area and Kai Lenny paddled over with a smile and struck up a conversation as we all shared some waves.

Sean Pointer, Danial Hughes and Ian Cairnes are all with Sunova now..... check out their new "GenRation" line. Some awesome new boards! Those boards are why I am going!!!

Link to whats happening at the Surf and Race events:

The events can be seen on the APP webpage

Who's there?
EVERYBODY.... check out the heat sheets to see the SUP Surf Pros
The racers in attendance should be equally impressive!

I’m going to try and swing by later in the week. Impressive to see the pros milk these crappy waves. Hopefully Dorian will swing up towards us instead of hitting the mainland and give them some swell by Thursday.

Tempting
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Challenging conditions... Man on Man heats lining up to be exciting... Fisher against Kieran, Daniel Hughes against Sean Poynter...etc.

have fun Creek.  Will shoot a note if I can free up. Certainly Eastbound has to be around??!!

Hope you can swing by Jerz!
Tomorrow is the finals of the surf portion..... then the races kick in.
See you there Sean.... I have a stop on the way, so maybe after the finals.... but I'm really going to meet up after with the boys from GenRation plus Tino and Bert.

creek- is the board Daniel is riding a custom?  watched some of the live feed and his instagram and was really intrigued by a stepped railed sunova.

I'm 95% sure its a wedge, new "special edition" board.

All Sunova team riders and racers use stock boards.... because they are designed with and for them, then become a stock models.
Daniel's board is stock.... yes, the "Wedge" from the GenRation line of Sunova's

This line has been developed with Sean Pointer, Ian Cairns and Daniel Hughes..... each have their own model

that's why I am going.... I want to look over the boards, feel them out, and talk to those boys!
They all look amazing and have surprising volume at small sizes.....I could ride an SP 25 at 8'9 in full winter gear, with ease at 235 lbs dry.

I want an 8'10 SP 25 and a Kanga 9'3 for super winter challenge days.... ok, throw in an 8'10 Wedge while we're at it  ;D ;D
