First session back in the water with the Cape Cod morning crew!
« on: September 01, 2019, 04:53:39 AM »
My 1st cataract surgery was mid May, 2nd surgery end of July....
both went perfectly, 20/20 vision now, no more contacts or glasses!!!!

totally flat all of July.... so it felt like I was out for an eternity.

It was totally awesome to trade waves with this crew again!
It's a longish video, to share the camaraderie in our line-up.....

and of course, the daily ritual of being asked to leave by the enforcers  :)

Good to see you back. Unfortunately your friends in grey seem to have missed you too...and you see them all the more clearly.

Since you've being off the water for 3 months, I know you're really glad to be back on the water. As for the video, another good one. Nice to see a long video. At least you have waves. Just wish I could have picked up the great white in the video, but I could never see it. Bummer!

We've had flat water with no waves for almost the entire month of August because of the high pressure dome of air that has parked itself over us since around June 1st. We've had small waves for June and July. Triple digit heat indexes too for almost 3 months now (June, July, August).

As always, thanks for making and sharing your videos.

@ Sean
ha ha... yes, "the better to see you with"

@ Wingman, thanks... we're all heading into wave season now, so hopefully you'll be getting some action!
and yeah.... GoPro's are only good for very close action.
The surfers were all close to me, and still looked tiny....
the only way it would see a shark is if it swam under me.

Good things happen to good people. How does the song go? " I can see clearly now the my eyes are fixed.... I can see all the waves coming my way....."  ;D

Good for you to be back in the water! You got a really nice crew there, good vibes. And those waves looked really good to me, dreamy conditions. I surfed them with you behind the screen, thanks for the vision! :)

Nice board, Creek! And you're killin' it...espesh for being out for so long. Know the feeling. Sweet sesh too and it was cool to see the Cape like that. Yo, Shred! No thanx on the marine life though. I don't like saying the ''S'' word. 8)
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Great video, Creek. Did you get some of the pics your friend took? I'd love to see them.

Creek:  You should have taken me up on the offer to borrow my (your old) "electric" Creek, while I am stuck on this boat up in Nova Scotia!  You could have really charged it ;)
Nice video, but it really made me miss the crew and the bars at Sharkoni.  Hope to be back in a week or so.  Don't go crazy with Dorian, you might need more than eye surgery.

It must have hit a nerve, Ricky...  Someone sent me the link -  'How come we don't...?!"  I think they overlooked the part about the seal.  Good for you.
