That is some nice sup surfing. Since I'm in "dry dock", these videos help to "ease the pain".

Thanks for sharing it.

Great vid Bean!

A legit hang ten!
Made it look easy.

10'1" x 26" x 3.87"  112 liters - wow, not sure if I could balance on that.

I got five over on my Laird, for the first time just a couple of days ago!
After seven years, I never thought I could do that on that board.

I'd love to try a narrower longboard SUP.

Nice photo. And thanks for including the specs of your board with the photo.

Hi Night Wing,

That's not my board nor me in the photo.
I do think the specs are useful - I wish they gave the rider's weight too
(he's probably trimmer than myself at 190 currently).

I have the larger B&B and Pearson Laird noseriders, both of which have larger profiles,
including more volume - 164 and 154 liters - compared to 133.

I have hung five on both my boards but only a limited number of times (& no pics).
They are really great boards but I'd like to be able to hang toes more easily.
I just did it on the Laird recently - I note on much steeper walled waves than I usually
attempt it on - I think part of it was the fin I was using held the tail in better - usually
in those conditions with me way up front the tail would release.

My feeling is that it might be easier on a lower volume board - like the one in the pic I posted -
as it is probably easier to get the tail covered with water to provide the counter balance.
You can see a bit of water over the tail in the picture.
I think it is a Vesl.

@Subber

I always find the specs of a board to be important. As for the board in the photo you posted, even though that's not you or any board you own, that is a nice looking board. I don't know the Vesl, but I'm going to google it and see what comes up.

just thought i'd throw this in here.  a podcast w/ devon howard on the mechanics of cross stepping and noseriding.  it's over an hour long and i haven't listen to it all, but so far, it's been pretty interesting.

Since I've gotten my BP "Duke" which has a nose rider nose and it is just perfect for the small waves on the upper Texas coast where I go, I've been on YouTube looking for "nose riding" videos to search for a few good ones.

In my searching, I came across a female prone surfer who is an excellent nose rider.  She is (I think) Australian. Her name is Tia Deighton. She has style, grace with superb foot work and excellent balance.

Probably the best nose rider I've ever seen. When she is nose riding her prone surf board, she seems so at ease and comfortable too. Her nose riding, it reminds me of a choreographed dance.

I'm going to try some nose riding with my Duke by copying Tia's foot work and hopefully, her balance on some of our small waves.
