I caught that Thursday as well. It was a weird swell angle. Peaky, then fast closeouts. I got skunked on a bunch of waves. The offshore was strong early which made then stand up quick, but also harder to get into. I did catch some fast lefts and it was fun. I bumped boards and paddles on one wave. On one of the bigger sets I was outside and had position. I paddled into it but it took a while to break (tide was filling in). A couple of guys inside thought I wasn't going to make it and took off. The boards went flying, but mine was the only one going down the line ;) Other two guys were arguing with each other afterwords. Apparently they ran each other over and there was board damage. Dog eat dog out there sometimes...
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Good job managing those walled up waves.  Looks like you squeezed all the ride out of each one and looked good doing it.
