Hilton Head Island, SC - should I bring SUP

We are heading to Hilton Head Island for some time and I'm debating if I should bring an iSUP. We are staying in place on the ocean side so water access should not be a problem... The weather forecast shows thunderstorms daily for our entire stay...  Any suggestions?

Sure why not.  I bring mine on all road trips to the beach, even if we use it once its worth it.

This time of year, pop-up thunderstorms are close to the daily norm on the SC coast. The beaches empty out and as soon as the day-trippers are stuck in traffic the skies clear. My collection of beach towels were all harvested after pop-up thunderstorms. 

Years ago my friend used to have trouble getting through the gates at HH to visit his in-laws with a windsurfer on the roof so an inflatable might be the right stealthy

C'hit...OA.  I'd hate to be stuck for "some time" in Appalachia without something to paddle!  Hilton Head is a 'bring another for a friend', new or old, destination. 

IOP... I got tangled in that 'snob net'.  My ex married some condo/timeshare hustler and I was picking up my kids to haul to FL 30+ years ago. Two boards on the roof made it so she had to bring them out ...this vagabond might have contaminated the fine air.

Man, I love Hilton Head.

We just came back and I think we found a new favorite spot for a family vacation. We totally got lucky with the weather.  Amazing nature, food, welcoming people.  I scored a few SUP sessions before I lost a metal clip out of my travel paddle and my pump gave up (purged a rubber o-ring out). But I maxed out on boogie boarding, fishing, beach walks, building sandcastles etc etc.

p.s. Funny, but on the last day, I found the clip that I lost in the sand.
