PolarBear Coolers on sale
« on: August 03, 2019, 11:30:51 AM »
I LOVE these coolers, they work amazingly well, look cool and are on sale!  Work as well as Yeti at a fraction of the price. I own 6 of their coolers and have had them for years.  The backpack cooler is great!

Wow, those are incredibly expensive even on sale.

I never use coolers so I might not understand why someone would pay so much for one. Why not just get a Coleman or Igloo for $20?

You think these are expensive, price a Yeti. Good luck packing a Coleman. These are soft sided and can double as carry on luggage on trips. They are waterproof and leak proof.  My fridge in the Caribbean broke once and this cooler kept ice frozen for 3 days .

You can  always find something cheaper.

I own a $100 soft RTIC and I’ll never buy a cheap cooler again.

On road trips they can stay in a hot car all day and be ice cold inside. Same it the beach.

You can also use the ice packs so nothing gets wet. If you do that in a cheaper cooler the top is warm, the bottom is cold and the packs don’t last as long.

Sounds tweaky but a I’m surprisingly passionate about mine now lol.

Yep, been using these for years and very pleased with their performance. Great for trips to the beach but most importantly trips to Costco. Can put the milk and meats and even ice cream in it and stays cold till we get home to refrigerate.

when I bag my groceries at the check out, the stuff that needs refrigeration goes in a separate reusable grocery bag.  when I get to my car, I just plop it into my modestly priced Coleman cooler with ice packs.

coolers are the latest status symbol.

Dietlin, you are correct about the status part for sure.

But like a lot of things, there’s a middle ground where performance and value overlap. These $100 (as opposed to $300) coolers are in that sweet spot.

But yeah, any cooler is pretty magical.

If you’re gonna go cheap, consider one of these.
