Yeah, we get these at my local break on the South Coast UK too. I hit one with the fin of my board when surfing, once. They sometimes appear in huge groups out to sea, but usually there are only one or two inshore. Harmless. But if you face planted one it wouldn’t be a great experience, I’m sure.
