You would know a lot better than I ever would. Specially i m partial to downwind allwater boards with very simple lines. Nelo or Edge Peo are way out of my league.

Haha but this is going to be my new DW board!! Well it would be if i had to try and race at the top level but i think i prefer like you something a little more on the more fun side so give me a Storm any day for full DW.

I think that the Liquid Athlete or Design boards our of California have a very similar tail albeit with the 4 fins Larry Allison system. I have no direct experience with these boards but maybe somebody has and can comment on their effectiveness. Not that you could put the extra fin boxes on an hollow board maybe?

Yes I would say the tail design concept is very similar to the Liquid Athlete board
But also mimicking the step bottom concept of the 2019 Infinity whiplash.

It certainly looks like they tried to make it their own pushing both concepts in one
Board and stretching the lines further but the influence is too apparent though I
Have seen both concepts way before both on windsurf and surf boards.

Having ridden both the Liquid Athlete and the whiplash I can say that these
Concepts are valid but I didn’t feel anything ground breaking on either.

But it’s nice to see someone is trying push the envelope and experiment
And do it with a hollow construction though I would expect such a construction to
Yield a solid board under 9kg rather than 10kg which is well beyond foam core
Carbon construction territory.

Great ad copy, if I still ran an advertising agency I'd be trying to hire Angie. The hardest thing for any agency to find is someone that can write advertising. She does need an editor, but so does everyone else. My editor's eye sees some spelling and grammar issues, but that's minor. Good copy sings, even if it's a little porny.

Haha yes she can be creative at times but don't let her know other wise she gets a big head really easy.
Yes a little more time in the school class room could have helped on the spelling and grammar side but will keep working on this as we do want this area to improve.

Sign up for Grammarly pro and dump the copy into their writing system. I use it for the books I'm working on. I could spend a few thousand for an editor for each book or a hundred bucks a year for Grammarly.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Yep I now am sure I am the crazy one as I just can not know how anyone could think one concept came from the other in this case. 100% blowing my mind!!

Infinity have a pin tail step that sits deep in the water 100% off the time and is so far away from this it's sits in the crazy world where I seem to be sitting.

That Liquid board is a block of foam with some hips and that's all I see, please tell me what I am missing as I just can not see it?

I know it all makes no difference as  I know we didn't copy anything and never have on any ONE products and no one owns a tail shape or bottom shape but I do really want to understand how someone comes up with the idea that something so different get could be the same!! Kind off tripping me out a bit.

If you think we just stretched some lines out then I urge you to maybe look a little closer.

One very tripped out Jacko

Here is a bit more help.

On Our board we could have quite easily filled in the white areas and it would have zero effect on how it paddles if you do that on the other board it would change the whole way the board performs. We only cut it short as we did not feel the need to angle it all the way back as it served no extra purpose.

100% I am not having a go at anyone if they think the other way but I would love to understand how one would think one design has come from another in this case?

Thanks mate I will look into it.

What will all the spelling and grammar police do though if we do fix it? I kinda feel like we will be taking away a big part of someone's day!! ;D ;D

I'll say this - it's the first board I've seen for a long time that I know would make people scratch their heads and would stand out in the park drawing glances before the start gun goes. That's the kind of equipment I like to use to be honest. At that width it's probably a bit much to handle but it's the only new board I've seen this year that makes me want to be a sponsored racer again. It would be interesting to get some test numbers on that.

Well, it’s a good marketing tool, anyway. Will attract a lot of attention and column inches. In practice, extreme designs like this tend to have shortcomings that outweigh the advantages, in all except very specific conditions. But at 21” wide, lightweight, and with pointy nose and tail it isn’t going to be slow, with a sufficiently talented paddler on board. I doubt that many of these will be sold. But that probably doesn’t matter - it will have served its purpose.

However, the future for serious SUP racing is surely with hollow boards made with advanced composite techniques. So that’s useful. The current typical foam-and-fibreglass construction methods are frankly a joke in this day and age, really.

And it’s really great to see a brand offering something fresh.

100% I am not having a go at anyone if they think the other way but I would love to understand how one would think one design has come from another in this case?

It’s a matter of perception really and very simple if you break it down.

Liquid board has wings yours has wings. Any another 14 race Sup with wings?
Infinity has step bottom yours has step bottom. Any other 14 race Sup?

It could be that this is where similarity ends but no one seen your board paddles,
Which is quite surprising given you’re an avid videographer. so don’t be  surprised if people draw their own conclusions, you really have to keep the marketing pumping if you want to control the narrative.

But boy you could have saved your self a lot of headache if you done a away with
Those wings, especially if they serve no purpose as you tried to demonstrate, though your own marketing blurb suggests otherwise.

It could be that it’s just Angie going off script again ;D but it does suggest those wings are there for stability which is exactly what the Liquid board wings are meant for according to them.

You’re surly aware of all the social media crap about it so you must know that
Whatever I’m smoking is quite a popular shit so you’d better dish out out whatever
You smoke so we can all be seeing through your eyes ;D

Something in the form of a good  vid showing the tail in action might do the trick.

Haha we are from Australia where smoking anything is a big no no!  ;D

I guess we also get things really backwards down here as well as what you call hips I call wings as what is on the liquid board is in no way a wing.
If we are running of what you might claim and we copied them in some way the I think they copied us as we made this board maybe 2 years ago and this is what I call hips or flyers.

And in no way did we invent the flyer that is sure if you can understand how a hip or flyer is designed to work and then what our is ment to do then we really have polar opposite in design purpose.

Maybe just a US understanding is different to my Aussie understanding?

Now who do I sue for those guys stealing my hip Idea from my old crappy foil board ;D

It doesn’t really matter to me where it came from or who thought of it first. But I gotta kind of believe Jacko when he says they came up with it on their own.

What I do know for certain though, is that this is a board I would love to try.

Can’t wait for you to get these to Vancouver, Jacko!

Smart move Jacko: These guys are giving your product free publicity by taking the time to write screeds about it, but all you see is some imaginary slight, and so go off on one, just as you usually do in social media, thereby pissing everyone off and undermining your own publicity efforts.

Really, you should just try to roll with it, and try some charm, rather than raising your fists metaphorically at any comment that might somehow be (mis)interpreted as criticism. Chill, mate. The whole world is not out to get you. See the bigger picture.

Haha, I think it's the sea monsters in your water, changes the hydrodynamics. :D

Either way, my comment serves to demonstrate how one could perceive your design as influenced by another,
not to say it's out and out copy.

As a potential customer I couldn't care less if you borrowed some other brand concept, ran with it, improved it
and made it work better. This industry has been doing it for decades. I know that every board I made for my
self was done that way, this shit works. At the end of the day I only care about pimping my ride.

Keep doing what your doing, I don't know if this is your "home run" but I like the fact you're pushing the design limits
and more importantly the Hollow Construction.

After seeing a 20' C-2 canoe that weigh 25LB hitting rocks in shallow water and keeps going as if nothing happened I'm
hopeful the SUP industry can come close to this level of construction.

Haha i think you have been on the forms long enough to know i can never Zip it when maybe most would ;D I gave up trying to be that kind of guy along time ago and now it is kind of what you see is what you get but i like it this way as there is nothing to hide and people either like it or don't. I never get pissed off and yes could use the smiley face thing more at times 100%.
You must admit it would be a super boring world on here if we just all agreed all the time and we didn't have a few forum fights  from time to time! I hope someone would not decide to buy a ONE board just because of something i say but if that is ever the case then i guess there is not much i can do on that front. If i worked for ONE i would more than likely fire me but since i can not do that i guess we are all stuck with my over the top dribble sometimes ;D

I also like the fact i don't run a brand that hides behind other people as most brands would get someone else to reply to stuff like this where as i am more than happy to nut it out and if i am wrong (which i never am by the way) i am happy admit it!

Now back to real business i am off to foil Tweed river!
