Leash Safety Loop
« on: June 29, 2019, 06:10:43 PM »
Picked up a Crow Haley waist leash a while ago and never used it as I am in flat water and the custom Balin knee, now Monster Coil, was working fine. Getting ready to start Foil SUP so added this Saftety Loop to the Crow Haley. Picking up a Balin Monster Coil Waist when USPS opens to see if I prefer coiled.

Nice improvement.  Every leash should have those. You ought to send that idea to Crow Haley. Maybe he'll start making them that way.

Well done KS. ' Prime idea to stiffen the cord with tubing.  Screw putting your ideas in someone's bank account - make some; you obviously have the skills.

I made and use a waist leash, even on back bays, it keeps the cord out of the seaweed and I am not stepping on it.  The only problem I cannot solve is when I get chucked off the board ...water comes down the neck of my wetsuit top and the waist leash makes for this big beer belly I do not have.
