I need to stop welding shit and go pump up and down pointlessly on my foilboard. Other people are having all the fun.

On a positive note, the BBFS (big, big f'ing smoker) is basically done. Now it needs sandblasting and painting. It looks like some kind of primitive space capsule or maybe a really ugly locomotive, but it's about ready for duty.

Also, Slingshot's inflatable trailing edge is likely designed to help keep the wing tips from tweezering together in gusts.  You see that happening a lot and it is creating two big, deep windbags. One above and one below the boom.  They mostly cured the taco problem of the early entries but going to beefier leading edges in the mid section by the center strut or boom where they had been folding.   This other issue is still really distorting the wings in windier conditions, particularly on designs with thinner inflatable leading edges at the wingtips.

Boom adjustment on the Duotones is critical. I was getting flogged by the 4 meter wing until Alan called me in and did a quick adjustment. I thought it was kind of silly until I went back out and the wing performed far better--and I stopped flopping around as well.

Say more - I assume you mean length adjustment like the old windsurfer days.

You are a font of knowledge at this point having tried MORE THAN ONE BRAND OF WING.

There are guys asking questions on Seabreeeze in Australia.  Very few people have ridden ONE wing much less 2?

Looks like he just strapped his paddle to the naish wing?  I'm just guessing, seems like this would be a standard procedure both for control and having a paddle to get back to shore.  But I'm also guessing the paddle blade could be dangerous for a beginner, as in having it flap around could really gnarly...

I bought a 3 piece paddle to carry on my person in case I manage to get blown out to sea and can't fly back...
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

Gong has now jumped in with some soft looking big ass squared wings that go up to seven meters. I'm trying to imagine where you would use these monsters.

The Naish wing has velcro loops that hold your paddle and can be used like a windsurfing boom for those who donít like the loopy handles.

I should have mine in a few days and Iím thinking about chopping the blade off an old paddle to just use the shaft with something at each end to hold it in place.
