Kai Lenny - global warming - BIGGER waves ahead

I heard the audio on the tail-end of a multi-part podcast, but could not find the audio link.  Here is the print version.

Very cool article, Jim. Scary stuff we are facing.
I particularly liked this comment-

Humans have always treated the ocean like an infinite garbage dump, especially with plastic garbage. The use of extremely loud sonar underwater for oil exploration and naval exercises can and does maim and kill marine mammals who use biosonar to find food and communicate. The uber loud sonar can literally cause internal bleeding and drive them into a frenzy in attempts to get away from it. Climate change is is the third prong in humankind's horrific mismanagement of our planet. We are to blame for all of this. We made the mess; we need to fix it.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"
