SonarChart shading
« on: May 24, 2019, 07:35:15 PM »
Navionics announced recently a new feature that shades the water on the charts based on the depth so it's easier to identify bottom features.
Here is the article about it: https://www.navionics.com/usa/charts/features/satellite-overlay
And the charts that include that are on sale this month too: https://www.navionics.com/usa/blog/post/save-on-platinum-2019/
Has anyone tried this feature? What do you think of it?

It looks like it would be useful for navigating bottom contours over a large area but how detailed is the shading when you zoom in?
