Anybody has tried pads with foot stap inserts from NSI or any other brand, I wonder how much it weight, I'm afraid it is heavy ? Is it worth it ?

They are not heavy. Only weak point is the fragile tiny screws used for the straps. Fine, provide you leave them mounted. If you remove the straps a lot, then cross threading and corrosion will cause issues.

NSI strap mounts WORK!

I have been using them for 5+ months with no failure on 2 boards.

1st mounts I stuck on with 3M glue and covered over with epoxy and glass.

2nd set of mounts I followed Pono's advice (see link below) and prepared the surface.  The mounts will hold with just 3M stick on adhesive if surface is prepared and time/heat applied for appropriate cure time.

Yep true.

But what might interested about the full pads is the multiples inserts, more options. The small mount you need to make it is a the perfect spot.

Yeah I was commenting on the full pads. I used them for years to convert standard surfboards to kite surfboards. Because back then, kite surfboards sucked.
