LBsup:
This is a preview of typical afternoon surf conditions in NJ. The morning is gutless but glassy then as the day heats up the south wind kicks in and gets choppy.
Yesterday the wind was switching between SSW and SW, it would feel cool then hot.

Water time! Making the most of what you have....cool. We can relate...

Crappy days like that are great for practice and improving skills, where you are not missing much if you fall and waste the wave. I'll take any waves at this point. We haven't had any decent surf in over a month. The few times we did have waves, the wind was too strong to paddle against. So far, 2019 is shaping up to be the worst year of all the six years I've been doing standup.
LB, what are you running for fin setup these days? After going back and forth, I've settled on the stock quad.

@ LBsup
I have wave days like that when I go to Surfside, Tx and the waves are not what they are forecasted to be. Still, I have a lot of fun sup surfing those types of waves.
Thanks for sharing this video.
APPST_Paddle:
@LBSup - have you tried a shorter paddle? It seems like that one is a bit long
